Puttalam Hindu Central College ((タミル語:புத்தளம் இந்து மத்திய கல்லூரி) ''Puttaḷam intu mattiya kallūri'', PHCC) is a national school in Puttalam, Sri Lanka It was founded in 1979 by Late Nadaraja Devar and Late Ratnasingam. ==History== The Puttalam Hindu Central College was founded more than 30 years ago in 1979, by Late Nadaraja Devar and Late Ratnasingam. As the college grew, it faced a major crisis in 1984 due to inadequate infrastructure.But fortunately at that time Socialists donated to build again. Puttalam Hindu Central College is one of the best known schools for primary, secondary studies and especially for discipline in Puttalam district. Puttalam Hindu Central College is a mixed school. It is situated in the core area of the Puttalam city. It is the dedication of the teachers which has brought the school to an academically admirable situation. Ever assisting parents too helped the growth of the school continuously. Our school students have as doctors, engineers, accountants, attorney at law, bankers, and entrepreneurs. They have been outstanding in sports as well, leading the district school in Athletics, Cricket, Football, and Netball.
